I decided to start this blog to satisfy my passion for writing....food....and creativity.

Cooking has always been almost second nature to me - I guess it's because I was always in the kitchen helping my grandmother and mother prepare meals.

Ever since I can remember, I have enjoyed cooking for friends and family, often making 5 course dinners just for the fun of it or having everyone over on a lazy sunday morning for a relaxing brunch.

Recently, after my yearly Chinese New Year party, some of my friends expressed their desire for me to teach them how to cook Chinese food. Well, if you know me, this started my head spinning in a thousand directions.  I am happy to say that I do have a few tricks up my sleeve, and.....I might be persuaded to part with a few of my signature dishes....hmmmmm

So, after some deliberation, I have decided to journal my adventures in Chinese cooking.  Now, you must keep in mind that this is by no means "Chinese Food" as in that restaurant stuff they serve down the street. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I crave "Chinese Food", the dishes that I make are things that we eat at home amongst family and friends. Some are downright simple while others are.....well a little bit more complicated.

So pour yourself some tea, relax and join me as I journal about life, recipes and who knows....maybe I will share some ancient Chinese secrets or two.
